Simon Dubbins, Director of International and Research for UNITE the Union, co-convenor of the Freedom for Ocalan Campaign, and patron of the Peace in Kurdistan Campaign, is interviewed by Erem Kansoy.

Topics discussed include the significance of the release of Ocalan and the delisting of the PKK for peace and stability in the region, the interests of NATO in abducting Ocalan in 1999, the failure of the European Court of Human Rights and other international institutions to end human rights violations in the case of Ocalan, the Turkish state’s isolation of Ocalan as a tactic to attempt to control the Kurdish population in Turkey, and the growing solidarity with the Kurdish freedom movement in the western world.
