Stephen Hunt, a patron of Peace in Kurdistan,  has recently travelled to the Rojava region of Northern Syria, where he conducted interviews with residents and attended local events. We are here publishing some photos and videos he has sent:

In Kobane

Grave of former PYD co-chair Salih Muslim – Stephen spoke with his widow, Aisha Afandi, pictured below.

Ilham Ahmed, co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, speaking at a big gathering of Kurdish and Syrian tribal leaders outside Kobani. Stephen reports, many Sheikhs and senior state military personnel were in attendance. Following a ceremonial prayer, proceeded to speak, flanked by a group of women, arguing in front of everyone for women’s rights, language rights, no discrimination against minorities, and an inclusive constitution.
