Turkey ‘must be challenged’ over chemical weapons use in Iraq, says Arthur West of Scottish CND

Arthur West is a veteran Scottish peace campaigner and former Chairperson of the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

In an interview with Kurdish journalist Erem Kansoy, West discusses public support for nuclear disarmament in Scotland, the role of NATO as a “nuclear weapons based alliance” and calls for Turkey to be investigated and challenged on its use of chemical weapons in South Kurdistan (Iraq). He also says that economic sanctions should be considered against Turkey, as a result of its human rights violations against various Kurdish populations.
