Emily Apple is Senior Editor at The Canary, a supporter of the Freedom for Ocalan campaign, Peace in Kurdistan and the Kurdish Solidarity Network. During a recent interview with Kurdish journalist Erem Kansoy, Emily condemned the silence over evidence of war crimes committed by the Turkish state, including alleged chemical weapons use in Iraqi Kurdistan.
She called for international observers to be sent as a matter of urgency to collect evidence and report their findings to the wider global community.
Emily is a writer and activist.
