Dr Joost Jongerden (joost.jongerden@hotmail.com) is associate professor of Do-It-Yourself Development in the Rural Sociology subdivision in the Department of Social Sciences at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and project professor at the Asian Platform for Global Sustainability & Transcultural Studies at Kyoto University in Japan. Dr. Jongerden serves as a board member of the EU-Turkey Civic Commission (EUTCC).
