The Women’s Initiative for Peace in Afrin was launched on Tuesday at a packed meeting in Parliament. An historic event, bringing together women round the world who are struggling for a better and more autonomous life and, at this time, for peace in Syria.The evening was introduced by Dilar Dirik a Kurdish women activist and included speeches of solidarity and support from Thangam Debbonaire MP, Roj Women, Margaret Owen, Rahila Gupta, UNITE International Officer, Peace in Kurdistan Women Alliance, Lord Hilton and many more.
