As NATO prepares for its next summit in Vilnius (Lithuania) on July 11-12, the international peace movement is gearing up to propose peace alternatives and oppose the militarization of our society. As part of these protests, the Global Women for Peace United against NATO network is organizing a rally in Brussels, home to NATO’s headquarters.
The core message is contained in a Women’s Declaration for Peace: NO to NATO, NO to militarized blocs, NO to war! For a new security architecture in Europe and a multipolar world based on peace, justice and global solidarity.
This initiative was taken by women peace activists, hence the name, but everyone – all genders – is more than welcome at the activities.
